Vertex BD
Project 1
This project was to get use to the BIM software Vertex BD. I was required to complete the floor plans and fully dimension the first floor and just the walls on the second floor.
What I learned: Further knowledge of dimensioning and modeling.

Project 2
The second project had more details that had to be added. I was given the exterior dimensions and room requirements and had to design the floor plans. Other requirements were foundation, cabinetry and bathroom/kitchen fixtures.
What I learned: How to solve the best use of space and developing the roof and how each section connects.

Project 3
This project required a construction document set. I was given the basic floor plans and had some design freedom. For the first floor, I added a half bath with a pocket door by the garage entrance and a storage closet under the stairs. On the second floor, I rearranged the bedrooms and placed the bathroom easily accessible for bedroom 1 and 2. Also, I had to add basic lighting fixtures on both floors.
What I learned: Working with more than one floor, solving various design problems, adding lights, and what the framing of the building looks like.

Project 4
This project also required a construction document set. I was given the floor plans and took advantage of the design freedom. I redesigned all the rooms except the dining, living, and study on the first floor and the game room on the second floor. Basic electric was also required to be complete.
What I learned: Working with a complex roof system, designing a larger building and electric.
